Just wrapped a 5 day shoot using MX-13.
I must say I was more than impressed.

First day was all interior.
Inside of a crusty dive bar called "The Baranof"
The bar is solely lit by a collection of multi colored Christmas, rope, neon, and diffused low wattage practical lights with a bunch of nets, old buoys and such as decoration. It's a great place!

Using the old sensor we would have had to use much larger fixtures in order to achieve a decent exposure inside the bar.
Those larger lamps would have blasted so much light into the scene that the nicely colored practicals wouldn't have hardly played in the scene.

But we had MX!!!
All we used the whole day was a tweenie (650w), a mini mole (200w) and a 2X4 kino to supplement what was already there and we were astounded by the results.

This is the camera I've been yearning for. Yes yearning, YOu know that feeling you get when there isn't enough stop. Your as lit as your going to get, shooting WFO, trying to push the sensitivity up with the powers of your mind. Nothing happens except that your hand reaches for the ISO button and checks the image noise when the ISO is pushed...nope, not gonna do it!...Yea, you know the feeling...

Not with MX Sensor! this thing is insano-
I don't really post here that much, but I think this is big step for digital cinematography and I am so happy to be using this tool to do the things I couldn't do before.

Hey Billy! Long time no see, thanks for the report! Glad to hear you're still going at it. Any chance at seeing frame grabs or footage?

A few frame grabs might be kosher...I'll look into it.
The delivery is pretty tight, so these things should be getting out into the world sometime soon.

Hey, Shawn! Likewise, Hope your well man.

Billy, are you going to NAB? It'd be cool to see you

Seriously

I second this notion

Shooting with the M sensor was almost getting to the point of looking like true film..

Shooting on the MX sensor is film, digitized. The new grain has such a unique texture that looks so unlike the digital grain I'm used to seeing..

The images are sharper, punchier and have more dynamic range for sure..

Here's a few random selects the Editor sent me.
These are taken from 1080p 4:4:4 Prores files created in rocketcine X-
