I made my reservation on the last possible day, last possible minute last year. Didn't even think I got in since I didn't get an email or anything with a reservation number. But my credit card was charged $1000, so I must have made the deadline.

Now I have to cancel, but how does one do so? Show the credit card receipt? I don't know my Red reservation number, wasn't contacted with one. I do get emails every once in awhile announcing something important, but that's about it.

So what's the protocol? I have emailed the company, but would like to hear from anyone that's had to cancel, just how they did it and how long it took to get the deposit back.

Thanks,
Greg

Greg, I am sorry that you have to cancel. Call Kelly @ 1.949.206.7900. If you do so right @ 9:00 am P.S.T you have a great chance to get her right away. She will take care of you.

Once again, sorry to hear that you are opting out, I would hate to be in that position.

Goodluck Greg.

Thanks. Can't help cancelling. Other things have come up that prevent me from having enough $ to make a complete purchase. Will have to consider renting, I guess.

Dude, are you nuts, wait a while and put it up on ebay. hell, PM me and maybe i'll take it off your hands ;)

I highly suggest you take some time and think it through before making any hasty decisions. Life throws us curve balls all the time and that's when I usually make snap decisions that I almost always regret. You can cancel up until delivery, so perhaps your financial situation might change? I have a small business and my finances fluctuate day to day. In fact, you RED guys take food stamps or Diners club?
Perhaps you have a friend or two that might want to invest with you? These cameras are going to be in BIG demand when they come out and extremely valuable. A prybar won't separate me from my camera, but hey... I've seen some pretty mean bidding wars on Ebay.

Too bad reservations aren't transferable... I would like to have yours.

If you can find a way to swing it, I would buy this camera. Not that I'm trying to advocate such a thing, but you could buy the camera and flip it overnight for a small profit I think, especially if your # is under 1000. I would definitely start by contacting RED and getting your reservation # ironed out and get your Ti-R. Obviously, you'll have to send the R back to get your deposit back... Or you could just not follow through with the purchase and probably sell your R to some collector for more than the reservation fee.

Of course, we can't really know your situation and if you cancel now that's up to you. But if you just think it might be possible to hang in there for a while longer, then do...

Oh... And if anyone from RED is reading, if he does cancel, could I have his Ti R?

"if he does cancel, could I have his Ti R?"

only REDs reserved before Nov 1 -2006 receive "R"s ...

And he said he made is reservation last year... Meaning he's in the group that gets the R's. :)

We will We will ROCK Him............. will he be a Campion my friend ?

So far I've called and emailed and haven't gotten a response back. Not very encouraging.

Razer... I'd bet your the first to cancel... it might be a matter of Red working our the bugs in their refund system. I'm certain they will get this squared away for you soon.

Or since he was never issued a # and contract, perhaps they need to track down his payment and information. I also think things are a bit busy at RED lately.

We'll take care of you on Monday. Kelly is on the East Coast but will be back Monday morning.
