  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

more renders...

So how does it feel? ....the weight is off just having plastic, but you get a sense of the placement.

After this is said & done maybe you can give away a few printer copies as a prize... for the display cabinet.

We have 3D printed models as well as machined aluminum prototypes. The system is silk. Best thing I have ever been involved with...

Jim, Couple of questions...

1. Since most people will configure their build to their specific need, will you have some kind of O-ring or a seal between the modules to keep out dust, moisture, sand?

2. Can you post pricing on the components that are universal, like the battery module, the IO module?

Jim, with regard to the pricing of the accessories, miniRED primes and fixed lens Scarlet; can we expect to see any pricing for any of them by the end of this year??? Or should we all have more patients and be ready to wait until a little bit into the new year? ;)

Hell, 3D printing is going to be the next desktop publishing.
What brand of printer do you guys use?
(ha ha, I can imagine Jim turning spinning around in the chair and asking the lawyer 'can we tell them what brand of 3D printer we're using?')

One feature I would like to see in all future cameras from RED is integrated weather sealing like on the Canon 1D mk(take your pick). I would mean a lot to us nature cinemaphotographers (to steal Jarred's word).

I have to go to sleep..it's 5:25 here... but I can't help it...
Just wondering, how do you guys feel about the ergonomics of the DSMC > DSLR kind of congifuration. Look's to me that the handle is perfect but the other edges maybe too squarie to hold..(?)
