  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

more renders...

thanks for the s35 render, Jim. I can feel it in my hands...

... still have some competition out there.

I'm curious, who do you consider the "competition" these days? The only one out there I can think of who is even in the ballpark is Ikonoskop.

who else but the big three. Maybe they are watching close, so they can realize their next move- I doubt they will do anything though.

We aren't sharing every technical detail at this point... still have some competition out there.

Yes to most all current accessories working with EPIC except the top mount and CF recording module. Current RED batteries work just as well as the new ones.

Jim

Even the Top Handle and the Top Handle Extension?

Also... would it be possible to run two RED LCDs at the same time? That would be great and very helpful for the AC.

Thanks.

global illumination or ambient occlusion ? trying to visually pick out your renderer jim....maxwell perhaps?

Jim already mentioned it was Hypershot as the renderer

What! no CAD files for my CNC mill? geeezzz, Jim, what's up!!! ;)

Actually, it would be fun to run some basic mockups using a 3D printer and get a feel for the ergonomics.

Don't worry, we already have done that... :-)

Actually, our 3D prototype printer ran non-stop for the last several weeks before the announcement. It is still running every day. Lots more cooking...

Truly the worst thing is also the only worst thing... the wait!!

Other then that this one will surely be one of my most bad A%$@# set up with a 645 EPIC Brain:w00t: :)

ciao

scarlet ff35 2k frame rate

scarlet ff35 2k frame rate

Hi Jim, I know you listed the scarlet ff35 frame rate for 3k resolution at 60fps. Could the scarlet ff35 shoot at 2k with a faster frame rate? Thanks.

So how does it feel? ....the weight is off just having plastic, but you get a sense of the placement.

After this is said & done maybe you can give away a few printer copies as a prize... for the display cabinet.

Talk about 'redundant systems.'
Using this render as an example.
I guess that the red buttons are triggers, and there are three along with two stills/motion selectors, three zoom??? rockers, and all of these can be replaced without having to send the camera into a service shop. :waaa:

I love that sweet shoulder rig setup. Elegant functional design. Can't wait to handle the real thing.
The whole project is nothing short of amazing. Kudos to you Jim and all of the Red team. Thanks for caring.
