Without a doubt, we are at the threshold of a new era in cinematography. I've interrupted my day more than a dozen times today just to keep visiting this thread.
Amazing.
If anyone out there still has any concerns about "is it worth the wait?", sit back, take a deep breath, and look again at the range these cameras will be able to capture.
Place them in skilled hands and what a visual treat the world will be in for. Our audiences get spoiled quickly, as do we all, so the bar will be set higher - but isn't that the real story behind this company? When we invested in RED, there was no promise of the capabilities being demonstrated today. And it doesn't look like it's going to slow down.
Needless to say, I want to be working and testing the EPIC in my own hands sooner rather than later - a thought shared by many of us on this forum. However, with the enhancements being made, like many of the finer things in life, it is proving to be worth the wait.
This is a revolution - glad to be aboard.
