  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Misc. Update...

"Miscellaneous" my foot.

We've been missing you around here lately Jim!
But I guess seeing how you've been busy inventing the future and whatnot, we can forgive you. Thanks for the update!

On behalf of the industry, I'd like to say ... ouch, are you crazy, everyone will want one ( :

RED began in 2006 as a garage operation. We had 3 employees. Today there are over 500. Next year there will be over 1000.

Are you with us?

Jim
Since April 25, 2006 when left my first deposit with you.

Take out the order numbers for epic and scarlet and think about if you really have to ask ! Hehehe.

I'm all in, feeling that I'm investing in a bigger thing than "just" my camera. I love the system and just wish I could support more than I do. And as long as you keep on staying sharp as you do, we will be there. Well, I will.

Dreaming of my own RED since 2006. This year is my year of the dragon.

BTW. Great to hearing news from you! I've been missing that!

Hope you all at Red don't forget about those shooters, who now shoot with DSLRs, they would like to shoot with Red Scarlet (old one, 3k for 6000USD, you know what I mean :-)).

RED will not be known just as the company that changed the industry. That is not enough...

Jim

It's the turn of the century again and this time around, a Technological/Economic Revolution is occurring. Bravo to Red for many things, for breaking the industry's collective complacency, for keeping manufacturing at home, for choosing "the road not taken" and bringing us along! Many Thanks!!!

I'm so happy to have joined this RED family just a week ago with my Epic M. I researched for over a year what camera manufactor I should go with, and obviously RED won hands down. No other company listens to its customer base more than e team at RED. I'm so thankful that RED has come along and made all of our wildest dreams come true. RED leads the way in terms of cinevation, and I am totally stoked to see what 2012 brings.

A big thanks to Jim and his entire team!!

It is rare to find oneself apart of a revolution, but when the moment arises never let it go... I'm in!

REDcolor3 and REDgamma3 are close... we have had a few tweaks. Expect a firmware release for EPIC, Scarlet and the RED ONE very soon. Also expect immediate support for REDCINE-X Pro and the SDK.

The Dragon sensor is in full development. It will be the dream come true. Trust me.

2012 will be the year of EPIC. So many features are being released that are shot on EPIC it is hard to keep track. I guess this is the year that RED sheds the "scam" moniker. Coming up... The Amazing Spiderman, Total Recall, Prometheus, The Great Gatsby, and The Hobbit... among many others.

Our production facility in Irvine is something that we are so proud of... it breaks all the rules and gives hope to a future beyond China.

Our 3D projector has been seen by many of the top dogs in the industry. It appears, according to them, to be the single best and only way to view 3D... in the home or theater. This is the one. It is a huge leap. Maybe the difference between 3D dying and 3D being mandatory.

REDray is real. After a long development process... REDray will be released this year. It will be the highest quality image with the lowest data rate ever achieved in the history of man. We fully expect it to be the gold standard going forward.

We love and appreciate our customers. And it is paramount that we don't disappoint them. We won't.
