  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Meizler Module... Supercharged.

Would love to see the mini Mags on the ProRes module - heh heh heh...

I like that it doesn't need the adaptor. What's that deal on the front?

And are you still working on the adaptor with extra EVF output we saw at NAB?

This module system is fun for us really sick gear heads - so many possibilities. I like Toia's mini I/O render a lot. Meizier will rule the big feature crowd, but these little jobs are great for us doco makers.
 
it will be even better if you add :

A 5v output to charge the Redmote while on location so we don't have to use a Dtap USB adapter.
A second D-Tap output, or a Vlock plate with two outputs on the same side.

So I guess :

HDMI output for Minimag proxy recording,
HDSDI for HDSDI.
Extra port for Front monitor
WHD led seems to indicate there is wireless control on the meizler. (separated from TRX led)

So I have a question about the Julebox and Meizler...
Are they built to work together ? or do they share some possibilities ?

I'm planning to get both, should I ?

Will you release a SDK for company like RTmotion to be compatible with your wireless lens control interface ?

If you can pack all that into that little box, a 4k PRO RES module and MINI IO would be a sinch then. :)))
 
Between Meizler and Dragon, the competition is dead.


Any word on Red branded:
Video receiver unit (besides iPad) for video village
Audio transmitter (previously was only using low quality IFB channel from 3rd party transmitters I think?)
Focus/iris/zoom controller so we don't have to buy 3rd party
Cinetape style distance meter with wireless display
 
Also, how about 1/4-20 holes in the bottom plate so we can continue to use our cages?
 
Jarred this is awesome. Though I will probably not be able to get one I'm already in love with it. :)
Also like that it needs it's own fan hehehe! Guess there's some fusion reactor in there that needs cooling!

Damn and I so badly wanted to come to IBC and I'll be gone all of September. Life isn't fair!
 
Will be interesting to see what the minimags will become. Only thing that seems weird is that another size would mean new drives needed for downloading which makes the DIT towers grow.... Or will there be an adapter card for these! ;) but then again... one small drive more doesn't really break the cart. Hehehe.

EDIT: so an adapter it will be as jarred mentioned ...
