Will you also support Anton Bauer gold mount?
I sure would hope so, but if not, there are V-Lock to Gold Mount adapter plates.

It will be really interesting to see how aggressive they can be with pricing - there's a ton of tech in this.
SHIT TON of firepower in a TINY package - and it has NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE.

Both battery mounts use fuses to protect the connected components, there should be no difference between using an AB plate and a V lock, except voltage vs. %. display. A good majority or rental houses use AB so I suspect quite a few of these to be adapted. Not to mention all the people using the AB Epic plate or just plain Ol' block batteries plugged directly into the body. I don think that voids any warranties, but I also wouldn't expect a new power board to be covered if a block shorted.
This module seems awesome, i wish it had a second Red EVF/ monitor port
Yeah pretty sick. So many possibilities.
Probably blowing smoke here, but directing I yearn for a way to put markers in the footage - when you see the actor finally get to the magic, tap the iPad and leave a mark in the proxy/R3D. Editor cutting concurrently can see directors performance preferences embedded in the file without bouncing back and forth between scripty notes.
yesyesyes very yes
Marking selects during the roll is coming.. its a big feature for the stills guys as well. They are embedded in the metadata just like you suggest and when you open RCX you can go right to those marks and even batch export just the selects.

We use 3ality Technica's lens 6 axis control for 3D with Atom and it's amazing. That's $4,900 without cables or motors - and total bargin at that price compared to Preston, etc.
So cut that in half - 3 axis - and you are $2450 for only lens control.
Wireless video? IDX Camwave = $4,900 (transmitter/receiver) and it's a very inferior product IMO. BOXX wireless is IMO best product available with zero frame delay, audio, TC and HANC meta data from RED cameras = $15,500 (transmitter/receiver). Then you have Teradek - which streams video over IP = $1990 for transmitter + $1890 for receiver ($3880).
So ... IMO the module is worth more than $5,000 with lens and video ONLY - forget about all the other functionality - wireless audio, timecode, battery mount, etc.
Reality is - functionality wise - this is a $10K + module easy. It does a lot more than our $25K per system Prestons.
I'm with everyone here hoping RED can get this priced very aggressively - but this is actually a SHIT TON of firepower in a TINY package - and it has NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE.
I'm just saying the I think folks need to be realistic. But yeah ... fingers crossed RED can price this thing low enough for owner/operators, etc.
