  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Meet " GHOST "

VAPOR... like it.

these camera names have any significance?

where you come out with Ghost and Crackpot ?!

If my theory is right, Jim and company are taking a slight dig at the folks who called them a scam way back when.

So far the EPIC-X Protos have been named:

SNAKE OIL
LUCKY
JACKPOT
CRACKPOT
GHOST

Touche! I would like to see the next one called VAPOR, as in Vaporware! ;-) What do ya say, Jarred?

What an awesome achievement, and to have a sense of humor to go along with it... good form.

Gorgeous shot, Jarred! What lens did you use?

Also, by "5K FF" you mean the full S35 size sensor, right? I think some here are confused and think that Crackpot shoots in FF35.

100mm RPP.

This is what we call a power stip.... the RED " WAR WAGON "

Please Elaborate!!

Heh heh.. I need to give alot of credit to Paladin Hollywood for this one.. I got the idea from a tour of Milk Studios and I took a napkin sketch to the owner of Paladin ( after Matt gave it a bit of love ) and they pumped out a little army of WAR WAGONS in record time, exactly how I wanted them. Actually, probably better than I wanted :)

Pretty bad ass. And just so you know, that is double sided. 70 bad ass 120V outlets plus a nice array of Socapex and Bates :)

If you want to get one (your own design) made... Paladinhollywood.com . Ask for Mike.

Jarred, is there any reason why Epic is not FF35 right from the start ?

I expect there are many reasons, lack of existing Cine glass that will cover full frame might be a start. Existing REDone users who have invested in glass for their systems would be another.

Good news is the FF35 models will come eventually and by then hopefully there will be some FF Cine glass to go with them plus some more robust ways of focus pulling on FF35 stills glass.

a little army of war wagons ... I like it! ... what on earth do you connect these things to? ... at least now I know why there are so many outages in the pacific southwest
