Not easily impressed these days - been at this to long for that - but I've just downloaded RCX for the first time and graded the felix footage. Very close to being dumbfounded. Unbelievable.

Note to other manufacturers:

You have permission to give up the chase now. No-one will think ill of you.

Yes we should be doing lighting tests. Are we...no...

I don't see the point to apply a "film effect" to a digital motion pictures camera.
Digital cinema is a brand new world, with new image designs. We have to build this world ourselves and not to rely on the past.

This is your opinion.
Remember that sometimes you'll have to mimic a certain look for many reason.
If I want a seventies look and choose the digital road maybe I will use Sanjin's tool.
Your "brand new world" isn't 100 years hold yet.
For that reason people will continu to rely on
the organic feeling of traditionnal motion picture for a while.

Ai....

Imagery is all about the images you want, not what is "right and wrong".

Sometimes there are simpler ways to get there, and sometimes it's harder. And sometimes the irrational route is the one that ultimately gives the result you want.

Aestetichs isn't an exact science. Nor is photography or post.
