  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

very generous, love this. I have been praying for Alain to get his camera for his film coming up, well if he doesnt get it in time then he will for sure make his rental money back with having a weapon for the next few years and beyond, so great.
As many of you have seen im more then overwhelmed with the arrival of my camera and have it all rigged and tested to go onto my next production for the next few weeks. You guys that havent got it yet have a lot to look forward to!
so just as a wish list, id like to see the guy that was generous to give George Bellamy his place in line get a bump up too!
some how jarred turned this into a legendary story that we will all be telling for years to come, genius.
 
That's just incredible.
But well, let's be positive. There are hundreds of people just reading the forum, not participating, and not complaining, just waiting patiently, not unhappy with the situation and super happy with the communication.

Thanks Jordan... I know you have and other RED folks here too.... I appreciated that a lot... This week has been overwhelming as a dimmed light at the end of the tunnel suddenly started to get extremely bright ... :)

i wish i could of seen your face when you first read what jarred said, wow!
so maybe someone with an scarlet-w could do a trade rental for you, give your theirs for your film and you get them back with a free rental of your weapon one day!
you just got a bunch of bargaining chips! good luck brother!

ha, I am a total newbie to the red eco system and threads but from what I've seen so far I'm a huge fan.
 
Wow jarred I have seen that you reward Alain that's incredible. This is why I saved up for a long time to buy my first red the scarlet w. Like I said earlier on in this thread, we will get our cameras and we will be blown away in the end. I'm behind Red and what they stand for. Big up the team for what you guys do at red for all the customers. Grade A* plus and then some. Love from Australia

Cue the posts: "hey guys, I said something good earlier!!!" hahaha

I gotta say, though, actions like that are among the ones that made me want to switch over to RED in the first place. So it's nice to see gestures like that happening. I just know I sure as hell won't be on this particular list! :laugh:
 
Not digging for a free upgrade here...BUT, huge thanks to Heather, John, and the team for rocking the Epic Dragon loaner program. Have 3 major gigs in the next 2 weeks (while waiting on my Scarlet-W order to ship) and John had the paperwork processed and the camera shipped overnight to my producer for a shoot tomorrow. Huge weight lifted off my shoulders.

Never experienced customer service to that degree before. Keep it up RED.

Wow! That is awesome! THIS is why I tell all my friends that I go with RED. I love the communication on this forum, and you don't see ANY other company doing this.

And this is an other reason why I keep loving RED's unique TEAM and their ways...

This completely and most absolutely goes in line with one of my most utilized "weapon of war" thru out my life's worsts moments...

I went from being bummed that I couldn't get the Weapon upgrade to super happy MG owner because of you guy's work behind the scenes. And doing stuff like this is one of the many reasons I love Red so much (that and the best cameras in the world).

If Brent is "The Great Brent", then Jarred, you are "The Wizard of Red Land"!

hahaha I think if I had seen this a while ago, I would have behaved myself on these forums!

p.s. Mikael, I met you at the RED booth at NAB. (I'm the guy who 3D printed the video transmitter+PAG plate). Thanks again for the FoolControl demo, I can't wait to get my Scarlet-W and buy the app. Really a game-changer.
 
3 reasons I choose RED

1-THE BEST CAMERAS on the market, made the way you want, with nothing extra, and everything you need (modular)
2-CUSTOMER SERVICE My Rep emails me back within a few hours (everytime), with all the info I need. If its even remotely urgent, she calls me up within a couple hours.
3-CUSTOMER SERVICE RED doesnt cater to the complainers...
4-THE PRESIDENT calls himself the Fire Chief! (oops thats 4 reasons :)

Wow. Congrats Alain and Samir. That is awesome. Can't wait to see what you guys do with them.
I was disappointed when I first heard this announcement and mostly due to when it was mentioned early on that allocated cameras were not shipping. When I saw the response to that it renewed the faith. Honestly I also re visited other cameras available now in this range and nothing competes with what these cameras are offering. .
This is fucking awesome and I'm happy for you guys getting to rock a Weapon.
