Most of you have watched as we have been blasting through Weapons and Scarlet-Ws over the last month in great numbers and thank you for allowing our manufacturing to skip NAB, it has helped a ton. But as we just catch up with the Raven to Scarlet-W "switchers" , nothing that we are doing is letting us keep up with Raven and Raven is just quite simply running away from us.

We have raised the price of Raven, stopped Raven marketing, extended Raven shifts but we keep getting hammered with Raven orders and the Raven que line just keeps getting longer and longer and longer.

So.. we are going to take May as a "catch-up" month for Raven.

We will dedicate all of our production lines over to Raven for the next 30 days.

Raven package accessories are also being ramped up for this increase in allocation and we pushing 4.5k sensor wafers ahead of everything else for the next 30 days (except for 8k) .

Now this doesn't mean we are going to catch up with all our Raven orders in May.. that is just simply impossible. But it should take one hell of a monster-huge bite out of the waiting list and give you Raven customers a well deserved bit of attention..

As for accessories, lots of good news ( again mostly with the result of our NAB push )

All 7" DSMC and DSMC2 LCD orders should be completely caught up by next Monday,

All Quick Release Platform orders should be completely caught up by this Wednesday .

All Battery Belt clip orders should be completely caught up by next Thursday.

All DSMC2 handles are now caught up.

DSMC2 Base Expanders are now caught up.

DSMC2 Jetpack Expandders and REDVOLT XL modules are also now caught up.

4.7" LCD's are caught up but new orders will be pushed out a few weeks since the influx of Raven package deliveries will be hoarding them. Same with V-Lock I/O expanders.

We are very proud of our recent success in hitting our ship dates... but we are also incredibly embarrassed at our failure to keep up with the demand and the painful que lines. So for all you Raven customers still waiting, thank you for your patience. Your day will now come a little sooner :)

O... I can imagine some Scarlet-W folks and some Weapon folks who may still be waiting for their cameras will not dig this message very much.... but we really need to give Raven a bit of love. I promise we will come back to you and hit your que with the same passionate vengeance after this.

For you Scarlet-W / Weapon customers that are waiting without the luxury of a backup camera and for whatever reason you haphazardly planned shoots in May because you felt you were very close to delivery , Brent has kindly offered to arrange a limited amount of Epic Dragon loaners for those of you you that really need to borrow a camera. Hit up your rep if that applies to you.

Thanks all. We are still a small little company making complicated things in Southern California and I hope this shows that we don't just care about the big dogs.. but the little ones as well. We love you all.

I knew staying up late would be worth it. :cheers2:
You guys are all rock stars.

Raven customers are like . . . "Wait what?"

Let's make June a Scarlet-W month then :)

Thank you Jarred about the EPIC Dragon offer to borrow for us crazy folks counting to shoot a film with our new Scarlet W! I already contacted my rep by email... later in the morning I ll follow up.... That's why you guys are definitely not from this planet!

I don't know if you could feel the breeze, but that was a massive sigh of relief.

Good cameras = high demand. You guys just decided to make a whole bunch of them all at once. I don't recall any company big or small doing something like this before. It's a tremendous undertaking and the hard work is appreciated for sure.

Jarred about borrowing a camera for a shoot? Does this mean just in the US as I'm in Sydney Australia and the help of this would be incredible thankyou

Thank you Jarred
I really appreciate your update and openness about how your manufacturing is progressing with Raven.
I find your preparedness to inform your customers very refreshing and personally don't mind waiting particularly when I know why.
Let May roll on and Raven's roll out!

If anyone got cold feet about your early raven orders. Feel free to pm me your prime price /offers. Need one and wiling to pay to skip the line.

To Brent and Jarred,

I am a Raven to Scarlet-W Switcher with 2 cameras on order on 2 accounts (Im an administrator on one of them, 10/27/15 time stamp). I'm happy for all of those with Raven orders who will finally see some attention, but this puts switchers like me in an incredibly frustrating predicament. I switched my order with the promise of getting a camera sooner. With an October time stamp I was supposed to be notified over a week ago (As a Pre-scarlet-W annoucement switcher). When I wasn't I was promised by my rep (who is great by the way, Brent told me to reach out to my rep) that I would be allocated on the very next blast. Now imagine the feeling after waiting patiently for another week with the thought that you are next in line only to discover that the rules have changed again and now you have to wait another 30 days at least. Now I have not been one of those on the forum complaining, but It's kind of a slap in the face and I really feel the sting. I understand that we shouldn't have planned shoots around a camera that is not in our hands, but when pre-order a camera with a February/March ship date from a great company like RED, you generally assume that you will receive a camera by early summer. Add to the the info you guys put out on this forum about pre-NAB notifications, and one assumes they will be taken care of (especially with my time stamp from 10/27/15), however, I'm at the point where I have no idea when I will receive the camera, because who is to say how things will change yet again at the end of this month. I would love to take you up on the loaner camera but at this point it really feels like a shot in the Dark. Please help guys.

If I ordered a scarlet-w v-lock I/o package today...what's a rough estimated time I should expect delivery of everything?

The dragon loaner sounds wonderful since I have to sell my epic to order the scarlet and I don't want to be redless for a while!

Thanks!!

I love this. RED raised the price and it still can't keep up with demand!

I suspect that owner-operators are looking at $7,000 DSLRs and then looking at the Raven and wondering what dipshit would pass up the Raven for a few thousand more. It's no-brainer!

As a Dec 10th Scarlet Dragon owner awaiting Scarlet-W, it does hurt, but I can hold off a bit more.

This. Is. Fantastic!

So maybe "day of announcement" orders could see their allocation email, what, this week? Eh? :D

I have to say, I feel Raven orders pain, but as someone waiting on their Scarlet-W, and was promised Raven Switchers would be done before NAB, this is incredibly disappointing.
