  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Mattebox....

Does anyone think these guys are having TOO much fun in teasing us about these accessories? C'mon, really...a basic idea of when all these things may become available please or even a simple I DON'T BLOODY KNOW and besides, you are all so far down the list it is likely to be around the end of the year in reality.

The Redrock Micro matte-box can go to hell now as far as I'm concerned.

I'm beginning to hate the fact that there is such a thing as NAB!

First of all, I can't go so I feel like everyone else gets to go to the party but me. Second, I get teased with things like this and then told, "wait 'till the party!" :bleh:

Well, I want one. and can you lucky folk who will be there please look it over REALLY closely...and let us all know what we're dealing with? I'm basically going to have to make a purchasing decision sight unseen. :(
 
Single stage clip-on. So it appears similar to an LMB-5. Looks like it wouldn't cover big lenses. Arri has the LMB-15 for those. And they have them in existence today and available for purchase.

Would I be making too big of an assumption to think it's expandable with more stages and a rod mounted swing-away option? Like we saw with that render a couple months ago?

Mitch... Arri makes great stuff. The major advantage to RED is price/performance. Buy RED. Or buy Arri. Or Cooke, or Zeiss, or ...

Our system is open. Choices are good.

Jim, no offense intended. I'm sure your mattebox will be nice and at a nice price. You'll sell plenty once they are available.

For those who need something now there are similar products available from other manufacturers. Room for everybody.

Mitch... I agree with you. But we also need to let our customers know that there are options available soon. I don't want to hear "why didn't you tell us?".

This reminds me of all the super shallow DOF shots of the Red One. What would be great is if you could stop down and turn the lights up so we can actually see what we're dealing with :) Like everyone else, how much, when, specs, can I get it shipped with 1108?

We will offer two models... this one 1st (and cheapest). This one should be within a month or two at the most. Price announced at release.
