  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Major improvement... free as usual.

Once again, we have a new major improvement in image quality coming. Of course it will be N/C. Look for a new camera build and color science improvement the likes of Build 16, 20 and 30. It makes new (and old) footage even better. Improved DR, noise characteristics and color stability with high ISO. The power of RAW!

We discovered how to get more out of the M-X sensor while developing EPIC. We also discovered those improvements could be passed down to the RED ONE. Instead of saving it just for the new cameras like most companies would, we decided to share the improvements with our RED ONE owners.

Will it only benefit upgraded M-X cameras, or will it work with the older Mysterium sensor Red Ones as well?

This is why upgrading red one to the M X sensor was an amazing move ..

red one will improve from Epic r&d and epic will improve from MX being out in the real world being used everyday

That is where I love this Red system - all my Scarlet bits will fit an Epic whenever I want/need to rent one. If I'd commit to Epic just now, I'd have to forego too much other supporting equipment - it'd still look like amateur video.
 
I was grading some old footage and really digging how much better it looks from the first go around. This keeps getting better? Cool!
