  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Major Announcement- July 6th

Seems most likely to me that this is a phone capable of raw video / photo capture. Read his hints and just think about it for a second...

I don't think this affects everyone. Even if phone offered 4K RAW video, not everyone would even use it. I think this is much bigger. I suppose phone could be a part of it, but seems like the hints suggest something that a lot of people will have interest in and could change their lives.

Long live the Rebellion!

Long live the Rebellion!

So many possibilities. Flying car would fit, but that seems too crazy, even for the Madman. I was hoping for next generation data storage, but hard to see how that would impact travel. Perhaps it's a energy conversion technology that would provide massive amounts of power with minimal consumption of resources, ala cold fusion.

Whatever it is, I applaud the Madman for looking at the bigger picture and swinging for the fences. Most of the world's largest entities have little concern beyond next quarter's numbers. IMO, true innovation usually requires a level of risk public companies eschew. RED Digital, in part, came to life because Jim believed in the concept and didn't have to convince a board of directors that it would pay off quickly. These days very few people have the vision, resources, leadership skills and free hand to drive significant change. Those few, like Jim, who are agents of meaningful progress, deserve our support. Just hope I can be #19 in the queue again ;-)

Cheers - #19

"Space. Time. Electronics. NOT VR or AR. NEW product category."
Those things eliminate quite a few posts on this thread. Should be interesting as always.

To be really honest everyone knows this is a new traveling bag. Because:

1.- You can fit all your equipment perfectly in a small space.
2.- Its for Travel...
3.- Will save you time in customs!
4.- And you can transport your electronics!

Am I right or what?

I'm saying Red Projector 8K or 4K cause they talked about it for years and nothing even came out. OR it's gimbal system :) that can be those shitty version out there.

It seems it would be in the AR and VR "category" if whatever this thing is will make those things obsolete. VR real world projection that removes the need for glasses? If Jim created a Holodeck, I'm selling my house and buying one.
