  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Major Announcement- July 6th

Your servers ready for all the extra people logging on? Seems with every announcement in the past its next to impossible to view anything the first hour or two. And that's just with a bunch of camera guys logging on... Add to that "everyone you know" :thumbup1:

RED laptop (more of a cross between Apple MBP + Dell XPS and of course, super powerful with some propriety board and maybe something special from NVidia also in there). RED already have super powerful boards in their cameras, and they have the RED Rocket tech, just thinking the next logical step is to offer something that can chew through all the bottleneck a thousand of their customers/artists are experiencing each time they use the RED cameras and need to move to the post stage only to be faced with computers that are still a decade behind in tech.

I don't believe it will have anything to do with the RED workflow. We need to think globally and bigger.

A laptop is global, just that its damn powerful enough to handle RED workflow almost like a regular everyday computing tasks but then again, maybe, a phone perhaps?

RedIphone8k?

What version is iphone on now? 7 right? So tossing a better camera on there with r3d recording would not be a bad move, would it?

Or a small /portable light field camera.

Some sort of gimbal / stabilizer / steadicam type thing made for RED
