Anyone encountered the following?

1. When hitting record the camera starts recording but then immediately cuts. Happens at random.
Notes: happens when using any of the record buttons including the new top handle start stop.

2. During preview / live view the image freezes for a split second. Looks like the processor is getting hung up. Did not see anything like this on the recorded material -- only happens in preview. At first I thought this was due to the sigma lenses via the canon mount, but this also happened with a PL mount and Cooke lenses. Switching to 60Hz from 30Hz (5" red touch via lemo adapter A) seemed to make it happen less often. Waiting to see if I can replicate this with the 7" weapon touch

definitely had #2 on the cF weapon. haven't seen #1 yet (thankfully)

Did you send a log file to Red? Glad to hear its not magnesium specific. Hoping firmware will fix this. Do you remember what screen you were using? Im trying to rule in/out variables.

A issue I been having 3 times so far with my cf is that sometimes when changing batteries and rebooting camera I either loose touch screen or the sidekick screen and I need to reboot camera.

I don't think I had any glitches but I had some corrupted prores files from our last shoot. r3d´s where ok. On CF weapon.

I have noticed this as well. Occasionally there is a pause in the monitoring path and it doesn't effect the recorded footage at all. I have a feeling it's tied to some system check where it's looking at the temperature and Black Shade Cal status perhaps, but I could also be crazy.

Are you saying when you swap batteries with power on you lose image or when you reboot after swap there's no picture?

That doesn't sound like something I've seen yet. I haven't seen the record issue that Jack is having either.

happen to me .. I was trying to understand .. hehe I thought I had the defective cables....

when I 1st noticed it I went through loads of cables/monitor tests before a clever Red bird set me straight!

To prove it is the same thing....do a big frame rate change and then do a slow pan back and forward and it will happen as the camera calibrates.
