With HDRx, "Magic Motion" is variable.

Same Frame... processed with 3 different settings after acquisition.

So now we also get to choose the type of motion blur we want, without having to dial it in at the time of the shoot? Amazing. This brings a new dimension to RAW.

amazing stuff .. cant believe the features that have been coming out lately ..

i love HDRx™ .. i hope we get to see more and Peter Lik's Waikiki store is amazing

i notice it also changes the soft look of her face ,, care to elaborate?

Can Magic Motion settings be adjusted in post production? Or is this just an in camera technology?
EDIT- Ok Jarred just answered above... thanks

Is this tied to the over-bright settings (+3, +6...) or is it like a luminance bias where it uses less magic motion in the mid-tones and only brings it in where absolutely necessary?

This is fantastic. Thanks again and again....

Jim, Jarred, someone...

Can you elaborate some more please?

3 different processing of the same image that result in different motion bluer and a slight change in contrast.

Are the motion and contrast coupled together?

What are the control parameters?

Thanks

Would love to see it in motion!
Very exciting work, Magic motion looks like it could be THE new tool for filmmakers!
We are ready for Epic!

Yes... the dynamic range and "Magic Motion" are tied together. You have a slider to decide how much of it you want.

Would it be possible to separate them? For situations where all the motion takes place within the normal exposure range but you want to hold out a window off to the side?

Obviously it could be done manually but a Magic Motion Bias slider could be useful in a lot of situations.

You guys are always up to such neat tricks...

So I take from the "slider" comment that this is something which will be variable, not just choosing between preset A, B, or C?

Amazing stuff Team RED!

Options, options, options... It never ends with you guys

Will these options also be in camera or is it a process only applied in RCX or Storm?

Keep on trucking :-)

you already have :)

I stand corrected.

Side by side, with different degrees of Magic Motion applied was what I meant, but you don´t have to do it for me, just send me my Epic and I can fix it myself ;-)

more RAW = more post choices.

This Magic motion affects motion "look" as high Shutter??

Very interesting!
Which of the three stills matches the video posted the other day?
