  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Macgregor and crew, Salt Flats Utah

Yeah, what the heck? Why didn't you call me Blair? or anyone else call for that matter? I would have been there providing support, drinks (Kool-aid of course), and whatever else you needed. I'm like 30 minutes from the flats (depending on what I'm driving). Next time let us local Utah guys know :biggrin:

That is seriously sweet footage though. The salt flats are great!
 
Clip looks fantastic, guys. Some of the nicest looking RED footage I've seen yet.

Thanks for posting in 720 as a minimum as well; we need more of this on the site.

Great job.

We are still on the flats. Great day today... Macgregor and Zac are two talented people, I feel very honored to be working with them. Multitasking like crazy of course.

Yeah you know what, I take back what I said about crushed blacks. It's amazing you got as much usable detail out of those shadows as you did...
 
Man, you guys are really making this monster do what it set out to do: make pretty pictures. Awesome and inspiring stuff. Love it!

Even with the sun pouring into the lense behind the guy, everything is still holding up. And the shot from behind the H2.. Great detail in the blacks-- you can still see the wrinkles in his pant legs, and the black raised lettering on the tires, against the blinding white salt flats... Amazing.

But, yeah, I gotta agree with Kino... I heard *someone* was going to be there, but wasn't sure when, or who. I'm sure most (if not all) of us Utah RedUsers would have KILLED to be there.. Now, well... we might still have to kill! :shiftyph34r:

I am curious, is this a short? a DeBeer's commercial, or a Hummer commercial? Aside from her giving him the ring back, it could pass for any of them...
 
Holy crap that flare is nice :-)

Guess some serious dither algorithms is needed to defeat the banding before 8 bit delivery...
 
Man, talk about putting a camera's sensor to the test... bright sunlight, white surface, no shade to speak of...

Macgregor never seems to share any details. ever. but that's his game.
