  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

M-X Reel

Steadicam = Chris Cunningham? I gues its not THAT Cunningham?

Thanks Crash & Dino & everyone make this reel.
C'on Bret run the line, give us this beasts!!!
I want also a RED4K, I hate to have to see this reels in this quality...

Ciao
Carlo

The low light performance looks absolutely fantastic, that said, what *really* concerns me is the colorful moire at 00:00:38. This is an issue I have been fighting on the 7D and is just as colorful as the results I get with the 7D.

Thoughts?

Resizing algorithm?

That's very impressive! Excellent in low light condition and wonderful bright on the snow.
This reel is a concentration of different scenarios and conditions and I found amazing every one!

PS: the last scene...how many watt the little lamp???

At first I would have said resizing algorithm, but the colors in the Moire are what I see typically resultant in Bayer pattern Moire issues (giving it the coloring you see which is normally reddish and blueish. It's possible that it could still be a resizing issue with regards to the raw data I imagine, in any case, it does concern me.

OK. So long as he didn't replace anything I wouldn't mind some chroma key tweaking to the color of the sky. What I am looking at there is the detail captured on the sun-lit hill and the detail in the shadow. I am only concerned with dynamic range and I feel I got a good grasp of the lighting there.

So, so impressive. Good to see Michael Cioni (LightIron) back in the mix. Thanks Red Team! Snow and Fire! Wow!

Amazing Low-light BUT at 00:19 ( White singlet ) and at 00:20 ( Audi logo) i see a lot of Moirè.

I sold my Canon DSLR for Moirè issues... and even if with M-X this moirè appears more natural is really annoyng .

This moirè is present in raw files too?

Thank you

Good morning... whats this?

WHOOOT! Awesome! Fantastically clean.

Great job everybody. Crash good to see your work again.
Been a long time since Toronto with Pappa Tango.

Moire is likely due to down conversion.
