  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I'm pushing for something that shouldn't trigger such a defense. I want to see current footage. If they're gonna release little 2-second milestone videos, why not something substantial. Why wouldn't you want that?

They'll release the frickin' footage as soon as they are ready to release it. What's the mystery??
 
I can envision an entire series of ground-breaking, game-changing videos of that nature. Snails climbing over rocks in a garden, paint drying, grass growing... The possibilities are truly endless.

He posted Saturday night (~ one day ago). He says he spent the last two weeks on a trip testing the Epic, and would share results soon.
 
I would imagine this project is pretty complicated. And they are feeling somewhat rushed. While communicating to us is nice or us, it really does nothing to further to two most important goals: Finsh the camera, and release the camera.

Also, I would imagine they are working pretty hard on making sure the stock issues are solved and do not come back to bite them when Epic is released.

Right now people are suffering through almost no EVFs and no record media. This is a serious thing, and I am quite sure also has a lot of their attention.

After all this, and the other 200,000 things they have to working, they will make time to post.

I hae no doubt.

I personally like moments of silence.. It usually means moments of progress.
 
Who is the one on RED coming up with the names of the cameras? Just pure curiosity.
 
Anyone know where to get just the QT Codec for cachefly clips? I typically view the forum and clips on a general-use machine without RedCine-x. If I get the distro will the QT components be updated?
 
Talking about tunnels: 16 or 17 stops digital, and I'd live happily ever after. More than that, then I'd need to take Digitalis.
