I'm starting to ingest my RED(One) footage into Final Cut Pro. I wan't to use the workflow for film and ingest the REDCODE RAW files without transcoding to ProRes, thus grade the raw files in Color afterwards and have multiple options of output to video or film. This process is described in the whitepaper and FCP support documents. However, the material I have was shot at 4K and framerate 25 fps.(instead of the recomended 24fps or 23.98fps)
Does that mean I have to transcode my material to ProRes and won't be able to color correct the RAW files in color, after editingC
Anyone?

Thank you Gunleik!
Do I still use the "RED FCP log and transfer plug in" to ingest the media?
or just import the folders directly to the browser as with any other QT?

If you have a red-mag directory,
• Select it (click once)
• Hit "find" (apple-f)
• See that you search only in the relevant folder
• type "_H.mov"

Drag the files into FCP
Cut

Send to color

Test first :)

I'm rendering my test from color... hope it will work.
Thanks again

I have now done a lot of tests.
I was afraid to pick the _H proxies out of their directories so i just imported the folders themselves. Now I have edited sequences with the _M.mov files and sent to color.
It worked fine for a couple of test, but then they started jerking! The first few clips are ok and maybe

...then the jerking starts.
Could it be that this workflow doesn't support my frame rate of 25fps?
All the best,
