Anyone else still waiting for this? It's been saying "Usually Ships in 2-3 Business Days" (both US & EU) for like 5 weeks or something. Anyone in Europe who's received one recently, and how long did you wait?
Just wish to figure out where I stand in the que, as the Bomb rep. said they're shipping them (small quantities) as soon as they arrive @ RED UK. It's not like me to be impatient, and I've heard/read about never-ending backorders in the past, so I don't complain, but this one, and the XL module, is sorely needed.

I walked into the RED Store in LA last week and picked one up. Wasn't ordered in advance so they should be available at this point.

Ordered 2 of the Tactical Top Plate 2.0 August 11th and received them on October 12th. Hope this helps

I'm sure some people have had their 1.0 top plates converted already; if they have strange your rep hasn't organised it yet

Hey guys, so anyone has seen Top Plate 1.0 with Dragon yet? I have an option to upgrade but the Top Plate 2.0 is back ordered. I am wondering if I should just mod mine (1.0). Just curious how different they are. I personally don't mind how 1.0 looks. If it does not affect the efficiency of the fan (or minimum affection), then I think 1.0 is enough. Let me know if anyone who has 1.0 mod have issues with it. (noise etc). Thanks.

The RED Topplate needs to be machined for the large extruding fans on top, toward the back end. Top plate "1.0" will not screw in without machining. RED will do this, FREE if you give them your old top plate at RSH.

Just got my Epic back with a modified top plate. It was a bit strange as I asked about it first and then they denied it was possible but when I prepared to send the camera in they asked for by themselves.
Seems to work well, camera is a lot more quiet than before. Top plate gets pretty hot so maybe that's good thing as the camera will cool down like that.
