I think its pretty amazing. I’ve seen their short throw projector (1080), super super nice for how small it is

Must be nice.
I just bought a Optoma 4k for a convention thing Im doing. Was going to get just a shitty projector and hang it for a week in a show room. But as the Optomas does not cost much more than any other household hd projector I figured why not. And even though it has got pretty much shit reviews everyehere. I must say, when fed with proper HDR 4k content it looks better than anything I ever seen before. And my guess is that LG is not aiming for anything less. Think better than oled. 2500 lumens.

Strange its bot dolby vision as of yet and only hdr10. I guess dbv will come before release because it should easily fit the standard. And LG has it for their other stuff.

Somebody tell me why you would have a projector in a room and then put a bright living room light about 3 feet from the screen.

Got my interest as I'm currently in the midst of setting up a color suite and def. am planning on installing a front projection system.

If it really comes in at $2K then I want one. If it outperforms my Sony 600ES (great, but almost 4 years old and no HDR) then the Sony would get sent off to eBay.

I will give $1 million dollars to the custom install company that puts that inside an R2-D2 shell that I can control with a remote.

Get your 1$M ready, I’ll do it. I’d say I’d do it for less than that, but if we want Disney/Lucasfilm’s blessing and license, we’d probably lose money at $1M. ;)

Its like the Blackmagic marketing shots for Resolve where the room is awash in all sort of pink and purple ambient light. Real great color environment, guys.

And when they master BluRays it's blue...

That LG honestly looks like a trash can.

Seems powerful, hope more competition to drive down costs :)
