  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Letus Gimbal

Just got my tracking info...excited to put the Helix through its paces.

Also very interested in being part of the NYC demo meet-up. Thanks Hien (and the rest of the Letus gang) for your amazing support...your dedication to your product and to your customers has been incredible, will definitely make for a better Helix user experience...

I wouldn't get too impatient. Letus has made several improvements based on the first few shipped and they are incorporating those into the current production. As a result, they are still working their way through batch #1. The good news is that these tweaks make every unit better and that the pace of shipping will improve as these bugs get worked out.
 
Sweet thanks! Nothing but thanks for the opportunity to get one of these amazing contraptions and for all the hard work Letus is putting in to iron the helix out. Was just curious so I could plan ahead a bit.

I'm in the RU GB so I should have mine before you. You're most welcome to come through and learn with me in Cape Town as soon as it arrives :)
I believe there is one other person in the GB who works summers in Cape Town, so perhaps the three of us could set up a local support group to get our heads around this awesome new tool. PM me and we'll set something up.

What is the status of the Red user group buy batch number 1? I placed a deposit but haven't heard anything yet.

The day that reservations were announced and opened, for some reason I wasn't near my computer for most of the day and ended up placing my order fairly late. I still have not had notice of shipping, although I have no idea where I fall in the queue other than having placed my down payment in the early evening of the first day.
 
Hey team, when ordering the 4TH AXIS, there are 4 options for stud size:

16mm - Zolinger
21.4mm - Glidecam
18.8mm - Steadicam
12.57mm - Steadicam

What's the optimal size to pick..for mounting Helix on the REDUSER group buy Laing steadycam?

Also which is for Action Products Raptor and which is for Steadicam Proline Raven ..? which also
were Reduser group buys.
 
Proline Raven looks to be 16mm which is what we ordered. I'll confirm after test mount next week.

Damn... the Ronin just got a $1500 price cut.. time for a second round of debate. Honestly though, shipping time will be the ultimate factor for me maybe.
