According to Nan at GL Optics, they are now offering a complete set of Leica lenses rehoused for cinema production. The lenses, which range from 19mm-135mm, offer an f-stops of 2.0. on the 50 & 90mm, with the 19mm, 24mm, 28mm and 135mm having an f-stop of 2.8. Prices have yet to be announced, however you can guarantee that they will be substantially less than Leica’s own current line of cinema lenses.

The Leica lenses in the photo were prototypes, shown at IBC2013. Nan is totally reworking the set.

Avi Cohen and I will be posting news about the set soon. And there will be a group buy

I saw today the first new prototype of the 35mm f1.4... they look gorgeous! Like small MasterPrimes!

Thanks Brice! I've only used it a couple times but have been very impressed with the results thus far.

The only Leica Rs in the same focal length I've owned (waiting on a 70-180 2.8) are the 180 F4 and 80-200 F4, which are both quite good, but this Apo seems to produce crisper imagery and in a wider color space.

for the 19mm V2 do you need to grind that rear element protrusion to use with the RED canon mount or is that only necessary for using with DSLR?

I took a short cut and purchased a set here recently that included one, which I'm assimilating with the Leica Rs I already own. TLS out of the UK did the work.

Has anyone used the 24/2.8 extensively? Thinking of considering that one as an alternate to the 28mm since 28 to 35mm is so close.

Mark, I'd really like to see a picture of the lens. I didn't know TLS could perform the cine-mod, as they are close to France, it might be a good option.
