Does anyone have any recommendations for an adaptor to mount leica m lenses on my Komodo? It would be great if it could use it with my kippertie revolva ef but it seems as though it could only work with the RF mount. After the breakthrough filter thread it feels as though accuracy and build quality are important.

The M mount (mirrorless) is much short than EF so you will not be able to use it after the revolva… it needs to be a direct RF to Leica M adapter…. As you can see in the photos it is a very short adapter compared to EF or PL adapters with no room for ND filters behind the lens…

cheaper options from metabones :

or 7artisans :

Or from novoflex :

I have the 7Artisans Helicoid version of the adapter (allowes for closer focusing) along with Metabones version of the adapter as well... I almost never use the Metabones version, since 7articans Helicoid adapter works great and gives me better flexibility. I am using smaller and lighter Voigtlander lenses with this adapters, and they are all serving me well. So I guess I would recommend the 7artisans Helicoid adapter for the Komodo, from my experience, best bang for the buck.

I have the Novoflex version of the adapter for my Nikon Z6 mirrorless and built quality of it is awesome. I also have the Voigtlander regular and Helicoid versions for Sony E mount, and have to say Voigtlander Helicoid adapter is definitely the best of them all, but not sure you can get one for RF mount though...

Come to think of it, I might have too many Leica M lens adapters, haha :)

Many thanks for your replies. Will definitely check all of these out. Sad that I can’t use the revolva, really enjoy having built in ND.

Just seen that there seems to be no stock of the metabones or 7Artisans one and voightlander don’t seem to do one so looks like it’s the novoflex.

I’ll be solo filming an ancient solstice festival (think the first Wicker Man), flame, dance, costume. It feels like the Noctilux could be useful if I can keep any of it in focus.
