  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Wow been crazy few months it has been hard to keep Komodo underground and unofficial, but today it's become officially one step closer, For the first time Komodo appears on RED.com in the form an official signup list www.red.com/komodo for all you that have been patiently waiting to get notified the moment it is ready.

Thank you again to all the beta owners that have put an incredible amount of testing into their cameras, its made a remarkable improvement on these release cameras and every customer forward has benefited from your efforts.

For Hydrogen owners:

At the KOMODO launch, RED HYDROGEN has agreed to provide a special third party promotion with RED Digital Cinema for HYDROGEN phone owners. HYDROGEN owners will receive $1000 off the purchase price (paid by RED HYDROGEN) of a KOMODO camera when purchased within 60 days of launch. In order to receive the discount you will need to provide the IMEI number from your phone at checkout. Quick tip for Hydrogen owners who may see no IMEI info on the status page, dial *#06# from your phone as mentioned in Jarred's link and it will pop up.

*Well apparently I just missed clicking through to the IMEI page, anyway... dialing is a fast way to find it.

I visited the page 37 seconds after Jim's InstaGram post. Error 404. Happily it's working now, and I signed up.

I am so looking forward to spending a Canadian Covid winter with this camera.
 
Very exciting news, just signed up!

Is it anticipated that retailers will be getting the camera at the same time it's available direct from Red? I'd consider working with one to put together the whole package with accessories all at once.
 
Don’t wanna sound dumb as English is not my first language, but does he mean that All Hydrogen one phones are eligible? The 60 days after launch part had me confused.

And is it for user outside of the US too?
