Ok guys, some of you have received your KipperTie lowcon Carbons, Pearls and Golds. Time to post some footage.

Please post your stills and vids specifying the name/strength/calibration of the OLPF used in that shots.

Hope to see some great examples here soon.

I would love to see this as well.

I am looking for the best option to pretty much leave on the camera. So not ultra stylized, but slight lowcon with expanded highlight handling/softening.

A reasonable number have already gone to early adopters. We're looking at November deliveries for the new batch that are being produced in a true optical lab facility, rather than by hand at our location.

We're anticipating real availability in volumes on Dragon and Weapon to be concurrent at that time. There's a pre-order queue in the meantime and we'll fulfil by order date for those who jump on now.

Our best example is the Probst / Swift wildest dreams piece of course - we'll dine out on that story for a while. More are out there, but it is still early days :)

John,

Which one would you recommend for low contrast and subtle highlight softening/halation?

I would want the image to remain neutral and not overly stylized.

Thanks!

That's a great example but rather a "too perfect" one. I'd be interested to see even some test shots without any post-processing and smaller budget stuff.

Pearl 1 is probably my preference to meet that description.

Is the gold 2 super strong? I really like what it's doing (removing the electronic edge, warm glow to highlights) but due to the size of the picture on the site find it difficult to estimate it's effect on a large screen. Are there any full size frame grabs available?

Seems to me that Gold gives yellowish tint to light sources.

Gold 2 is very strong if there are direct light sources in frame, but not so much otherwise. If you check the other thread on our OLPFs you'll find a link to some R3D versions of those same images.

Thanks John!

Soon you'll be making 1.3 and 1.7 versions :-)

Your new black nets + OLPF sandwich are very interresting options too... Any schedule for those yet ?

Come on guys! There's gotta be some of you out there shooting cool stuff with these and selfishly keeping it to yourself :)
