Red Savant
Excellent suggestion Gibby!
Evens so we will likely cut everything in 2k and output in 2k and 1080p I do think that shooting 3k i one cam will in deed give us a better intercutting with the 4k footage.
Especially as I like to make three different DVD out of the shoot this will add variation to the images we can edit.
Did I say that I'm absolutely trilled to have you on this project?![]()
ciao
Thanks Ketch...we're very stoked about helping you out on this Vegas production! :gun:
On RED One, beyond the field of view advantages of 4k and 3k over the FOV of 2k, 3k is much more oversampled than 2k when you bring it down to a 1080P finish. 2k is just 6% larger in resolution than 1080p, but 3k is over twice the resolution of 1080p. So the oversampled look of 3k not only cuts better with 4k, but also looks much better than 2k brought down to 1080p.
Then again, if you want super slow motion on a 23.98 timeline, as you know, only 2k will get you above 60fps on RED.
C-ya in Vegas!
