that´s a lot of construction work ... ;)

15 hours between Venice, Milan, Geneva, Paris, Antwerp and Amsterdam... 6 great cities... since I don't get to Europe often enough I forget how small it is! Looks like an awesome tour.

Indeed David.

Good thing is that this trip will not be a all at once trip... But it will be full of stops with undetermined times to each, were I'l stop by Friends and relax, organize a shoot, or two, take the immaterial to Post, then proceed to the next stop... Ideally I like to get to Amsterdam in time for IBC then proceed form there to shoot a while in the Netherlands, then re-route back to Italy or strait to Paris...

The planning is surely tentative at best, but it serves to map out the route, from which I will not hesitate to deviate and or prolong it were needed any time an opportunity to hung out and shoot with fellow Filmmaker is presented... :)

As this will most likely be my Last random trip I'l be able to take with so much free time, as Next Year is bringing some big challenges that will not longer allow for so much fee time...

But I will still do a trip here and there no doubt... :)

And here we go!!

The #DragonM8 EuroTour starts at last...

Hope to meet some good friends & Fellow Reduser Filmmakers again and meet new ones along the way... First Stop The Italian Alps of "AOSTA" Then France, Germany, Netherlands...
And so on... In no particular order...

EuroTour made possible also thanks to the following FANTASTIC support of my Sponsors!!

will there be 50% off sale at IBC of that gear? :D

safe journey!!!

Ha ha!!

This and what is been delivered on location will be all the gear that will travel with me across europe for the Autumn/Winter Tour... But there will be few more pieces coming up for sale as I get new gear... :)

And thank you Uros!!

Are you taking the ronin on this expedition?

Absolutely Donald!!

I love the way you pack Ketch... so orderly, safe journey... hope to see you at IBC

Thanks Nosa!

Packing is a specialty of mine... :)

Looking forward to it, even so this late departure might not allow for me to make it to IBC in time, but still trying to... But if I miss it, there is still Photokina and Cinec too... :)

I love how after Ketch loads all that gear into his car he has some dumbbells there to pump some iron before he sets off.

The Dumbbells are to return in to proper shape, and even if Traveling, now I'll be sure to do my Morning Routines... The Bag behind it is full of Medications to get me by during the Tour, so daily workouts are an absolute Must, as I intend to return to the best shape of my life!!

Dumbbells and a Ronin to lift! You look quite healthy already but I`m sure that is not easy.

Horses for courses. Sometimes a Red is best left in bed in favor of a DSLR, a GoPro or an iPhone. It's all about aesthetics, shooting space and specific looks. One camera can't do it all, one set of lenses can't do it all, but a balanced cinematographer can certainly appreciate them all.

While I partly agree with you there, I don't think I would ever use an iPhone or a DSLR for that matter to intercut with my Dragon footage... And that of course is my choice, and not saying no one else should, but for what I like to do and what I like out of an image and the purpose for which I capture it, there sure is no iPhone nor DSLR in the market that would do the job for me... :)

Ehh... I'm starting to wonder how long til that creative director's joke... "I could shoot this on my iPhone" won't be funny anymore.

All a matter of needs and creative choices of were you want to shoot, how you want to shoot and were your final material will end up... Nothing wrong with that.

But my choices are different, and the Red Epic Dragon is were I am at, and so far I have yet to find a Shooting situation scenario were I can't use it, or were I had wished I had an other camera... None, not even in our Skydive Dubai 2012 piece which was of intense pace and of a very wide spectrum needs, going from Desert dunes racing side by side to a running horse to following skydivers with a 4x4 to mounting it on the Helmet of a Skydiver Cinematographer following the Skydiving Team.

Yeah, no iPhone nor DSLR shooting for me, nor any current camera for that matter too, other then the Dragon... :)
