I assume the shot of the Falcon in slow motion was yours too? 300mm I am thinking? There is a lot that can be said about this shot, for many reasons. Well done.
No Will that one was not one of mines for sure, as the only Falcon shots I tucked were done from above an SUV while I was sticking out of the top sunroof, going full speed holding the MinGyro as two of the guys were holding on to me so I would not fly off...
Ketch, it's so nice to see someone so generous with details of their shooting methods. Can I ask you if you used faster than a traditional 180 degree shutter for moving shots such as from aircraft or of fast moving objects on the ground, or did you always rely on following the filmed person/object to avoid motion blur? Also, is the "original" resolution on YouTube H264? It looks amazing.
My pleasure Mike,
shutter was kept the same, as it was intended for a general event, so on this one I chose not to create special effect hosts, other then Frame rate, resolution on Youtube is actually 4k.
Ketch. Brilliant shots. Some shots were truly spectacular. I really was impressed that the fireworked looks so good.
I notice that some of the guys had canon lenses. I'm debating if I should get a canon mount. Do you think it's worth it if I have Red Primes. My good canon lenses are 35 f/1.4, 100 f/2.8, 70-200 f/4 so I don't have so many yet. It would be especially nice with the 100 2.8 to get macro and to get a stabilizer.
Cheers!

Thanks Andreas,
yea we used a variety of lenses, and the canon glass is great, but budget and shooting style allowing I would never use it to replace Master Primes, but the truth is that Canon glass and its incredible range can be so very useful in many shooting situations that is smart to keep it in mind, and the new 100mm Macro is a great lens.
Ketch, just amazing!!! You're the man! Best!
Thanks João, glad you like it buddy, but it wasn't just me, this was an mazing collaborative work, and resources put at my disposal, the images basically put themselves in our SSD's..
