  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Jim's new av is one of the best I have ever seen. It's cool IMO that some billionaire business genius would be all into making avs and hanging out with the likes of us guys around here on a forum. So cool.

I'd definitely pay to see his post apocalyptic madmaxian explosive feature. Jim and Jarred.. You gotta do it someday.

We did. But now that the reason for his good spirits was announced there is no point.

what reason? All I read was a vague statement about Red one owners being glad they are owners, he's said that many times before. Then more statements about how they still need to test the ASIC, do firmware, test, qualify, etc. Stuff we've heard before.

Not trying to be the pooper, I just havent read anything in the last 24 hours that wasnt already known, did you read something I didnt?

lol, I can get excited! I just have to know what i'm getting excited about
 
I can tell you why I'm exited: Cause Jim seems confident by saying that you should get R1's while they're still hot. It tells me things are going well and Epic-X or the sensor upgrade is around the corner. And because, personally, I really need as much dynamic range as I can get by Feburary. Sorry if it is selfish, but at least I am honest.

Okay :-) I guess I've already been at that level of excitement :biggrinjester:

Since I've gotten the RPPs and Builds 20 & 21, it feels like a completely different camera. Do I want more DR? Sure, why not? But its not necessary at this point. My bigger desires for EpicX are full frame overcranking, 2 second bootup and the ability to have a mini configuration

I am 101% with you on that list of attributes, and what a list! But you know my personal needs for DR so I am sure you understand why I am exited when I hear that we might be in time for the snow.
