  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

yeah I'd be very pissed having my IP stolen it would infuriate me.

I'd be strapping on my shit kicking boots and anyone in my path better be sorry.

I don't know enough as most of us don't, and I love ARRI as well they make great products, but if even the slightest bit of what I suspect has occurred then I am shocked... far too many unusual events that occurred surrounding red and thefts over the years... ah I could go on but my assumptions are not necessary.

Kick some ass! (if necessary...)

War! (opposite of my peace sign off, seemed appropriate, it's a thing I'm trying to start tell your friends!)
 
What a total shame. Arri is one of the companies I had always admired, I'm really sorry to hear that it's gotten to this situation. Is it not just the actions of a single person though? That's the way I read it to start off with, but now it sounds like it's escalated into something much bigger.

Either way, this does show that RED was doing something that Arri couldn't achieve, so in a cruel way, this is somewhat of a compliment.

I hope that everything work out and that Michael Bravin gets what he deserves!
 
This sucks. Rooting for you Jim, and hoping this will be resolves as fast and painless as possible.

I would assume he's referring to Arri. The hacking constitutes the attack. Jim is now mounting a defense. And as we all know, the best defense is a strong offense. While I don't know Jim personally, from everything I've read and heard about him, he's someone you do not want to cross. Ever. May God have mercy on Michael Bravin and anyone at Arri who might have been involved!

Do what you have to do Jim, and good luck!
 
seems like it's much more than that, the tip of the iceberg if you will. I believe Jim said his email account was compromised as well, but I'm not sure though I'm certain we'll find out eventually.

This makes me so sad. Perhaps necessary, but damn, such a great visionary being taken away from you do best. Hopefully it's swift and you can get back to kicking ass ... on the camera side of things :)

I guess now Jim has a very different fight, than the one he wanted.

It is true art of war, no tabus.
It is admitting, that one has no other possibility, which is a compliment to RED's achievements.


If this happens with the most respected competitor, how disappointing this must be. The respect is gone.
For all ARRI's feats in the past, this is beyond lame.


Maybe those who did those acts thought that RED is a little company that can be messed with.
The thought they can get away with it.

It feels me with dirty joy to know they will not.
They stole the horses of sheriff of Redtown.

Imagine if all of this had hit you 3 months ago, or 6 months ago?

Its not a nice thing to deal at any time but at least epic is out the door and scarlet is almost out.
