What personal gain would he get from hacking into Jim's and Band Pro's accts?

Again, voice or reason here: Nobody has accused him of hacking Jim's email account.

On or about January 19, 2010, in Los Angeles county, California, defendant intentionally accessed the computer used in interstate commerce belonging to Band Pro Film & Digital, Inc. ("Band Pro"), without authorization, and obtained information from that comptuer. Defendant obtained the user name and password for the Band Pro email account of Amnon Band, President and CEO of Band Pro, during defendant's employment with Band Pro. Defendant resigned from Band Pro in December 2009, and began to work for another company. After resigning from Band Pro, from approximately December 2009, through June 2010, including on January 19, 2010, defendant accessed without authorization, Amnon Band's email account and thereby read Band's emails.

We don't know how many times he accessed the email account or whether it even was multiple times. He may have only logged in and read them once. Or he may have only logged in that single time listed in the plea agreement "January 19, 2010". We just don't know the details yet.

did someone just compare an ALEXA to a GH2? hmmmm.........not quite sure what to think of that. funny i guess......but if the poster is serious, then i guess i'll just disregard that person's opinions.

I didn't compare them... I just said 1080p is what little cams like the GH2 shoot. It was just to illustrate that fact that I don't think that Arri is really pushing it... like some other manufacturers are.

But that being said... the last project I did (on the GH2)... confused allot of people. People swore it was Red or Alexa before they asked me. Of course it was with the hack though...

The Alexa makes a great picture... but it's just not that amazing for the price/size/features. On the web I think allot of people wouldn't be able to tell a 7D/GH2/Alexa apart... unless your a DP or something.

nope... it's been measured at 1000-lines for video. It's still only 8-bit 4:2:0 though... so that part sucks. I shot GH2 and EX3 side by side last week and the GH2 resolved a bit more detail (with less noise too!).

I'm not trying to start another camera vs. camera discussion. I was simply pointing out the fact that the Alexa (these days) is a little bit lacking for the price point. I believe the technology these days s capable of MUCH more... (i.e. Epic)

Really? I take it back. But I'm skeptical. I was under the impression the GH2 wasn't much better than the 7D. Is that wrong? Cause my 7D looks great (when I light it right) in SD, or 720p tops, but can't hold a candle to Red or Alexa footage at 1080p. (Don't mean to derail the conversation.)

When you gain access to someone's email account you get both sides of the conversation. It's like when someone hacks a eCommerce site. The hack only took place on the eCommerce site but everyone who used that site has their transaction details potentionally compromised. Hacking Amazon doesn't necessarily mean though that my NewEgg account was hacked (although personal details such as address/CC # could be on either.

My interpretation is that what was potentially compromised was Jim's private correspondences with Amnon Band. I've seen no suggestion from anyone that it's anything else. And I say potentially because just because someone gains access to your system illegally doesn't mean they found or cared about your proprietary information if they're just trying to turn you into a SpamBot for instance. My home computer has been compromised a few times but as far as I know no data was downloaded.
