  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Jeff Kilgroe

Congratulations Jeff - I'm glad you went for the M (remember you were debating for a while) - and now it is in your hands!

Looking forward to your insight as you put it to work.

Someone's gotta talk some sense into management there - seems like that's a location where EPICs should be turned on, not off.

For a second I thought you were working on a Jennifer Love Hewitt project.

Congratulations you dog. Hope you enjoy your new toy/s.
Part two of my production should be heading your way shortly for your amusement and or scorn. Let me know.
How about a 5k to play with in DaVinci? It will be a while for us Epic-xers

congrats jeff... thanks for all your help by the way.
happy shooting!
cheers pal

Wow...you sure know your bars Jon...

Grats Jeff...can't wait to see what you do with it!

Thanks. ...And Jon should at least know this bar, he was there with us!

We took the Epic out for a night on the town, friday night. Most all of it was low-light and shaky hand-held, but I posted a few stills already in the Stills from RED thread.

cause after seeing the Epic I looked at the beer, and said to myself "that looks
like a Guinness to me. Man that is just perfect!"

Yes. Guinness. The pint glass was badged with the Guinness name, too. But the copyright nazi in my head made me turn the glass and hold it a bit funny so it wouldn't show. A few wonderful things in this photo, unfortunately none of them held at ideal angles to really show them off. It's a great photo to demonstrate how NOT to do promotional photography. Can't complain though.. I've had the Epic for over a week and this is still the best photo of myself with the camera.

About the time we were on our way out the door, we wondered how we didn't get a 300fps shot of Guinness being poured. Ah, the light was all crappy in there anyway.

Then my eyes traveled just left of the beer, and that was just perfect two.

Freudian slip? Yes, two of them. Perfect.

Congratulations Jeff.

Thanks. :)

For a second I thought you were working on a Jennifer Love Hewitt project.

I can always hope, but she never returns my calls. :) Welcome back, Mitch!

Congratulations you dog. Hope you enjoy your new toy/s.

Thanks, Frank. And I'll shoot you a PM...

Thanks everyone, even all those I didn't address directly.

Hi Bud,

Good to see that you've got that bad boy in hand now, and are out working it.

Here is wishing you great success with both the new tool and lots of new projects,

Steve

Am I the only one thinking that Jeff doesn't look like his forum avatar pic?!?
Congrats on your camera.

My avatar is what I look like in the dark, with my mask off.
