  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

January 2016 update

Brian, this is tricky as you are adding a layer of complexity. And obviously, even if you are subrenting at PV, I cannot begin to discuss the protocol between RED and PV. That being said, to us, your spot in queue is not determined by if you own-operate, subrent, whatever.

What I will say, by a production of this magnitude choosing to go all in on RED 8K is about as great of a marketing sound bite any person with a current 8K preorder in could ask for!

Jarred/Brent could you please clarify, is Scarlet Monochrome also on the same shipping schedule as Scarlet-W?

Quick question. The "In your hands one month from today" comment, does that apply to Scarlet-W Body Only orders? I ordered the Scarlet-W I/O kit and I did it the first day (and I had a Raven order that I upgraded from which I also placed the first day so I should be pretty high up).

Does that mean I should expect my Scarlet-W kit order in one month or is that for body only customers?
 
Damn, this news makes it a VERY good start to the new year! Sounds like I might get my MG (ordered the first morning at NAB) and my S-W (a converted Raven order from the first day) at almost the same time. I might have to start a pool on which one arrives first. Jarred? Brent? You guys want to buy a square, lol?

Good question, Gene. Yes, if you ordered a bundle where there is a long pole part in the tent, the entire bundle will be begin shipping when that part begins shipping. Jarred is referring to brain availability in this post.
 
Any word on how long an MG upgrade will take? I know a ton of it matters on how many come in at one time, but ideally how long should it take for the upgrade if everything goes like you all want it to go? I am sure many people like me are looking at a busy spring and are concerned at having a camera gone for more than a week.

Any update on the DSMC2 base I/O V-Lock expander then? And is it possible to receive the bundle without it before?

If you have one already, RED will modify them at no cost. It's a simple shave and a haircut job. Talk to your Bomb Squad Rep or just submit an RMA.

As for something new? I dunno.

Oh didn't know that. That is perfect, i'll contact them and see if that can set me up. Jarred mentioned once possibly a new one, but am happy with the old system just need to shave a little off so my matte box lines up.

The knowledge you hold Phil is crazy. Thanks for the tip.
