Got really excited when I read the DSMC_operation_guide as it states that MG WEAPON has 120fps on prores:

Is this something that's coming or a typo?

It looks like that Magnesium Weapon can do 2k prores at 120fps.

Apple ProRes 4444 XQ up to 2K (2048 x 1080) and up to 120 fps

PS: I still hope for a 25p 4k prores for the MG W.

Maybe it's a little bump up in the MG specs to make room for the Weapon-X 5.5K?

I just tried it and the fastest I could get the ProRes Frame rate up to was 60 fps. If you go here (http://www.red.com/products/weapon-dragon#tech-specs) you'll see that it also lists frame rates for ProRes only up to 60 fps. I am guessing that is a typo left over from the CF Weapon.

i think this is going to become essential in a pro Rez only mode at least. Because if a client wants a 4K pro Rez it would hurt if the answer is to shelve the MG and use an FS7 with a $1300 recorder, or jump to a 60k camera.

my Arris can't even do 4K bro I wouldn't worry so much about it lots if people selling rocket X. Or half debayer encodes are fast? The savings vs CF are well worth it. How many clients really need 4K encodes honestly? I was cussing under my breath trying to figure out how to do 60i 720hd out redcine for major brands lol? So few clients in my expience want 4K encodes I'd say it's a non issue and until Arri and red can deliver it cheaper I wouldn't worry what low bit rate prosumers shoot. No respectable productions want any of the sonys consumer and prosumer crap near the talent outside of maybe behind the scene stuff?
