  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

January 2016 update

You're correct. I upgraded to Scarlet-W, but have been anticipating joining the family since the initial Raven announcement.

Anyway, I'll do my best to cut you some slack. By the looks of things lately, you guys deserve it. Be it 2 weeks or 10, it ships when it ships. :)

Right there with you Nathan... I've edited Red footage for many years, but this is the first foray into Red gear ownership. And I have to say the length of time has been a mixed blessing. Having a few months to educate myself on "everything Red" was actually very beneficial, and help steer my buying choices as I develop my personal best Scarlet-W system. But, for crying out loud... just bring it! I'm ready. Or should I say, "I'm RED-ee"? j/k
 
Jarred - Still looking like a go for March on Raven's? Will they go out in small batches or large lots?

Hi guys, first time poster, long time fan. I've been cutting R3D stuff and shooting with other people's systems for years and I'm finally getting into Red ownership with a Scarlett-W. I just got finished reading every single post in this thread and I'm so happy this company and these customers have this level of interaction and community. I've loved my Bomb Squad rep so far and I'm looking forward to being in this world. Thanks.

Brent, are we safe to count on the Scarlet W Package before april 15th? with Base I/O so we can power it and track audio properly? Shooting a film end of april that's why i'm asking. Thanks

Brent, will modules like the Base IO w V-mount be allocated to packages before being available to mix and match buyers like myself? Still waiting on said module to power up my CF Weapon.

Ouch! ;) Hoping I won't have to stare at a Scarlet-W brain "paperweight" too long before the Base I/O V-Mount arrives.

Yeah, there are other solutions available but I'm not going to be shooting for a couple more months so rather than buy something I will only use until the I/O w/V-mount arrives, I've decided to wait. Would be nice to be able to power up the camera and get familiar with it... testing etc.
 
I think MOST of the V-lock expanders are spoken for in form of packages for raven/scarlet. might be a situation where we have to wait for the bundles to head out before we can buy the V-Lock separately on the website @@
