  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

JACK THE GIANT KILLER

Astonishing, astonishing.

It sounds like this tool has revitalized the film industry and filmmakers somehow.

oh...and happy christmas everybody! It's now Boxing Day over here in Australia, but to the rest of the world: may all your christmases be bright! xxx

Great News! but i hope we, poor unknown underground filmmakers, get this camera too. If all the big guys in hollywood decide to film with the Epic, there's not going to be a camera left for us heehhehe

I'm very much looking forward to using the EPIC Red for my next movie "Jack the Giant Killer" which will be shot in, what else, 3D. The camera's incredibly compact size and extraordinary resolution are ideal for the 3D format.

But more importantly "Jack the Giant Killer" is my first movie set in a time before electricity. The EPIC's extraordinary exposure latitude will allow me to more effectively explore the use of natural light.

Welcome to REDUser, Bryan. Thanks for taking the time to join the forum. Looking forward to hearing more of your experiences and seeing your talents in 5K. :-)

Its great to hear from the Director himself here on RedUser. Thanks for Stopping by Bryan, I love your films, I watched Superman Return again two days ago, your work is very inspiring, Keep it up. Its great to know you chose the EPIC as the Camera for the film.

This is great news, the Epic is Epic even before it´s officially released!

Makes me VERY confident in investing in this camera, this will be so great in all sorts of ways!

Bryan

Jarred,

Tell Bryan that he is welcome to visit our Epic setup on Spiderman. Bryan signed my DGA director's paperwork many years ago in Toronto.

And J, I have a little something for ya and Jim..... You will laugh.

See you after the hiatus

Peter

Im telling you guys.. if you are wondering why Me and Deanan and Jim don't sleep at night, now you know why.. this stuff is so damn exciting. Glad we get to share it with you, and glad incredibly talented artists like Bryan not only appreciates what we are doing, but takes the time to drop in and tell you guys all about it.

What a year...
Yes, Agree 100 % Jarred, I love reading this from the artists themselves. Its really inspiring that they are choosing the EPIC as their main production camera for high end mainstream films, and its exciting cause I will have an EPIC too. Can't wait for stage 4!

I'm repeating my self, but again, congratulations Team RED. Seeing you having so much success makes me happy, i can't imagine how thrilling these times must be for you. You've achieved so much, but i'm sure this is just a start.

Thanks alot Bryan for sharing your opinion.

P.S.: I really hope we will see a documentary one day. ;-)

The Bryan Singer? The Usual Suspects is one of my favorites. Welcome to the forums Bryan.

Everything he's ever done is one of my favorites! Usual Suspects, the X-Mens, Superman, Apt Pupil, the list goes on. His only failing is that he didn't make X-Men 3 :)

Trying not to gush here, but damn. Who's next, Hitchcock from the grave?

Welcome, Bryan! You're one of my heroes for sure. Please don't hesitate to speak often and with maximum verbosity.
