I apologise as I know a lot of similar threads have been opened like this lately, but I'm letting the initial excitement get the better of me.
So after a little bit of a longer wait than expected (holidays x everyone rushing for the dec 1st deadline) she has arrived!
Red Epic Dragon with Low light OLPF.
Initially I didn't think I would feel as excited as I do, as essentially its my old camera, but even just opening the box it felt like a brand new camera.
After booting it up and running a black shade - which might I add felt like it took half the time of my usual black shades, my first thoughts were that overall it felt much more responsive and a lot quicker.
Then after just a few minutes or shooting around the house - I couldn't wipe the smile off my face.
The image is beautiful, the highlights have really impressed me. and my initial worries of noise have been taken away - I agree in some parts of the image there dis a little more noise but I would argue that dragon noise is a lot more pleasing than MX noise.
I used to set my Fans at 51 adaptive on the MX do I want this thing to run a little hotter?
Anything else I should make sure I don't forget with the differences of the sensors? Not trying to start the Native ISO discussion again haha
I cannot wait to get out and shoot with this thing.
Thank you to the red team and everyone involved in developing such a fantastic camera.
