Issues with 512gb Red SSD

Card isn't recognized by Epic (no media found), or by MacPro via RedMag 1.8" station. Any ideas? Is there a way to format these or something like that?

Nick .. is there footage / files on the Redmag you need to read or offload? Is thistle first time you have used that mag?

Hi guys,

I am using firmware 5.1.47 (now).
The card is new to me, never used, don't care about any data on it.

The Mac Pro will not recognize it at all. I tried using disc utility to reformat as MSDOS FAT, no go. Says formatting failed. Therefore I am having trouble getting the new 512 firmware onto the card and back into the camera.

The card shows up in the camera, as 0% available, but when I try to format it, it fails.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also tried the secure format feature via camera, no go. Media Format Failed error message.

Nick, your best option is to contact RED tech support : https://support.red.com/

They may have a MEDIA firmware upgrade for your SSD that can be applied using latest camera beta FW... if not they certainly will be able to help you with this issue.
