  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Introducing the Panavision DXL

This is rather impressive, especially for big productions.

PV DXL pretty much oozes exactly what productions have been asking for in a full fledged digital cinema camera.

Combining the DXL with the Primo Series 70 is one thing and we know that works nice.

Perhaps the bigger thing is how the RED/PV DXL will play with Panavision's Anamorphic Lenses.

There's a lot of potential both in resolution and format size with the Dragon 8K sensor for 2X, 1.3X, and 1.25X anamorphic filming.
 
Camera (and science behind it) look amazing. Congrats. Very smart strategical move as well.

Couple of questions.
- Is the EVF based on the RED EVF2? Connectors look similar, but shape is different.
- 3 large companies and nobody notices spelling errors in the titles? Interchangeable lost an E and Millennium lost an L... :)
 
Is it possible to get the color science for us with "regular" reds? ;)

Those who called RED vaporware back in 2006 should feel ashamed now.

Is the Light Iron color science making its way to regular DSMC2 cameras anytime soon?

But anyway, of course we are, it's threatening seeing something awesome like this we could never afford... it's the feeling of being left behind by innovation :tongue_smilie:

LI Color Science

Big news. Would like to hear more about the LI color science at the sensor level.
 
I can't wait to shoot with this!!! I saw the prototypes a few years ago and have been patiently awaiting it's arrival.
