  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Incredible...

This has probably been covered but,, What is the battery life of the REDhandle? 1/4 of a RED brick?

I seriously just bought a 7D, with all the fixings, and have begin to reconsider my purchase.

Its a good thing they hold their value well, cuz I could always wait until the Scarlet ships, and sell it then inorder to buy one

are these pictures shot by "epic" or just CGI???:aureola:

CGI, I know Jim is quite a Magician with lighting but it would be quite difficult to pull off such lighting setup with the resulting double shadows on each direction, not impossible but a large set up of blocking Flags and very well controlled lighting spills.

Because they're both being classified as DSMC units. To me comparing the 5D/7D to RED's stuff is like comparing a Bicycle to a Motorcycle. They both have two wheels, but their two different things.

DSMCTM stands for Digital Stills and Motion Camera... and by our definition, both need to be RAW (since we made it up, we make the rules). Last time I looked, none of the DSLRs have RAW motion... so they don't qualify. Call them something else.

Thanks.

Jim

Wow!
I LOVE the RED mattebox...please tell me that it's back in production

Thought so... Well, can't wait to see the first epic stills:emote_couch:

Where do you fit a follow-focus on the left side?

Stephen

A little off-topic: I heard of a day rental rate of 0.5-1% percent. What further deduction would it be for a 3 week-shot? About 9 days (3 payed days per week), is that right?

I'm having trouble thinking of an instance where a small LCD would be used directly under an EVF...
