I so love what we are doing. I can't think of any place I would rather be. This work is like eating tacos breakfast, lunch, dinner and bedtime. What we are doing makes Cuban cigars seem almost insignificant.

Delivering the future is so exciting that I can hardly stand it. Life has never been richer since RED... well, maybe Misha.

It is frustrating. It is stimulating. It is emotional and it is wonderful. It is difficult and it is 24/7. It is being alive more than any person should ever get to experience.

We have made so many mistakes along the way that I have lost count. But here we are leading the charge into the future.

We have built an incredible team. It starts with Jarred. If I listed the others that matter... it would take up the full page.

What also matters are those that support us. When Jarred posted about the Dragon sensor... we had 500+ replies and 125,000 views in 4 days. That smacks of a real community.

Trust me when I tell you that your interest and support does not fall on deaf ears. The support from our customers inspires us to do better. It inspires us to deliver more than anyone might ever expect.

We have rewritten the rules. Obsolescence obsolete. Trade-ins. Upgrades. Listening. Communicating at 3am. I'm quite sure our competition has lifted their game based on things we have done. All of this has benefitted the industry and in the end... the customer.

I'm getting old. I hate it. I am a 20 year old in a 63 year old body. The only consolation I have is that we have made a difference and we are just getting started. I take solace in the fact that RED matters. Love us or hate us... we have made a difference.

Now... I have to tell you that what we have done in the past pales in comparison to what we are working on for the future... :-)

Keep doing what you're doing Jim. Don't let your age get a hold on your aspirations... I'm pretty sure you'd be 80 and still be doing this.

Love this place :)

Sounds like it's that time a' year, again.

it's always that time of year, again. our body is naturally balanced towards the sun. we'd be wise to remember. you must sleep to dream and dream to wake up (to dream, or not to dream).

Ahahahahaha..

Love and tacos..

I love you Jim, you are such an awesome human being, thank you for sharing everything Red related and more

I'll admit, that I had such dissapointment to hear that the Dragon upgrade in my Scarlet wasn't possible.. knowing an upgrade to a Dragon Epic would probably be out of my reach...

But last night I fired up Redcine X to review some work I've done throughout the year.

No dissapointment now. None at all. The Scarlet is helping me get better at what I want to do, and really showing off what I can already do.

Kudos to all at RED. Keep the Dragons warm, because I know one day I'll get one :)

So excited! Dreams are being fulfilled and people are making a living (in harsh times). Art is being made. Your excitement helps us be more. Do more...and in return help back. Great times indeed.

Not sure what you are talking about but this makes me think about tungsten. I can't wait to see Dragon under tungsten. I bet it will blow us away. It will blow us away in every respect, so I can't wait to see everything about Dragon.

Can't post an image like that range chart without the other guys ears turning upward.

You guys keeping pushing the boundaries for digital cinema image capture (and delivery now) and we'll keep making pretty images with them.

2013 going to look great!

Oh and I think at least 100k of the 125,000 views on the Dragon thread were the scores and legions of soon-to-be unemployed engineers at Sony and Arri. They're all looking into EI right now...

You have made a difference, Jim, Jarred, and the rest of the RED team. Things changed. Every single film or video done with a Red means an extra story that was told and will "exist" long after our lifetimes. The tools you guys are creating are helping to define how the world will be portrayed for future generations. This connection you made with redusers and red owners also created a unique connection. The filmmakers or cinematographers feel connected with their tool, and also with the "artists" making them. Your openness to talk, share and listen makes us all not only confident about the tool but also to be inspired by all the advancements you guys make. This is, indeed, a unique company you've built, Jim. And a game changer.

Keep pushing forward, keep being the way you are, and we on the trenches will keep creating better and boundary pushing content for the future generations. Keep going!

if your images aren't looking good in your light... journey through the shadow of the sun until you emerge and greet the light (bring a filter). that's what the earth does fairly well.

Heh heh heh Paul you are sounding a little more poetic tonight than usual :)

My images are looking more than fine, thank you for asking... Still no clue what you are talking about. Sounding a bit heavy on the Doors influence there Paul. :)
