  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I found a monster....

Hey brandon what mount is that?

It's an Adaptall 2 mount. Adaptall to Canon EF adapters are about £10.

Here's the EOS adapter: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0054EORGA/ref=as_li_ss_til?tag=prairierim-20&camp=213381&creative=390973&linkCode=as4&creativeASIN=B0054EORGA&adid=0Z6PX5NPTP2Y4BGREV4F&&ref-refURL=http%3A%2F%2Frcm.amazon.com%2Fe%2Fcm%3Flt1%3D_blank%26bc1%3D000000%26IS2%3D1%26bg1%3DFFFFFF%26fc1%3D000000%26lc1%3D0000FF%26t%3Dprairierim-20%26o%3D1%26p%3D8%26l%3Das4%26m%3Damazon%26f%3Difr%26ref%3Dss_til%26asins%3DB0054EORGA

Thanks brandon. Not used the tube for ages as I get what I need out of it as is to be honest.

I think I used it on the close bug shots in this promo - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=6IBdeD1Bho4#t=93

EDIT: Also used it on the close ups on the eyes of the two main characters too.

I only have a PL mount right now and have to decide if I want to convert the lens to PL or get a Canon mount which is about 2x the price of a PL conversion. The biggest downside to the PL conversion is that you can't go 1:1 anymore. Possibly a PL extension tube could work, but they are more expensive than the PL conversion itself. Hmm...

Beautiful shot. Was this done with the 1:1 extension? How necessary is the 1:1 extension tube?

Its very useful. This shot was min focus without the 1:1 adapter if memory serves correct.

Picked one of these up on eBay after seeing this thread. Such a great find. Used it on a spot we shot over the weekend on a R1MX. Footage looks great.
