  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hydrogen Question

I would imagine one per Hydrogen unit owned. But could be only one per Hydrogen owner.

Original Hydrogen owner only.
 
Hydrogen discount is tied to the serial number of the Hydrogen One phone. 1 per serial number, and as soon as that serial number is used the discount is retired.

So if you bought one second hand before the cut off then you can get the discount but the original owner cannot, and vice versa... in other words, one discount per phone.

A question that will be asked by somebody for sure. Any difference between Ti and Al discounts and/or Pre-Order sort of thing?

I just got 3 people who messaged me asking another question lol - - maybe you can go ahead and clarify - is the hydrogen discount for ALL hydrogen phones purchased ? Or is it for only preorders (houdini/AL/TI) ? will phones purchased from carriers be eligible?
 
I think the discount is for all hydrogen phones, and the cut-off Jarred is referencing would be when they cut production.

However... I'm not sure if it's still in production or not... I'm totally guessing at that detail.

If I remember correctly Jarred somewhere stated that the cut-off was the date where they said that there where no modules coming.

I am in the same situation where I ordered a Ti but took early delivery of an AL H1 at the event at Red Studios Hollywood, and even so I got two H1's if the serial numbers are the same than no, you get a discount only on one Komodo.

As Jarred said they are based on Serial number, so if both your Hydrogen phone carry over the same serial number as mine do, then I am afraid we only get a single Komodo at a discounted price.

The question will be if we privileged Hydrogen owners getting first dibs on buying the Komodo, can buy additional Komodo cameras at full price at the same time.

Mine, (pre-ordered from priority first batch), I gave it to my brother a few months back but recently, he sold it to somebody. Which now I guess I would have to buy it back from that person to get the priority Komodo and discount???

all that we know so far (at least what I remember out of all the Komodo posts):
if you bought a hydrogen before the module was canceled you are eligible for the discount & first batch.
I guess you should still own it. (but if you have the original receipt, how are they gonna check?)

you had the Houdini first and then a TI, right?

Because I am pretty sure my TI and AL are not the same serial number.
