Hitchcock, starring Anthony Hopkins, Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Biel, and Helen Mirren is being shot on RED Epics at RED Studios Hollywood. Director is Sasha Gervasi and Cinematographer is Jeff Cronenweth.

What a treat!

Great

Ok, I just looked this movie up and Anthony Hopkins looks eerily like the man himself. This is going to be fun...

NO WAY!!

A great man, interpreted by an other great man... Can't wait.

Great to see a big time movie shot with Epic that (I'm assuming) is not being done in 3D. It seems that Epic is the undisputed champ for 3D, but still going to toe to toe with Alexa with 2D flicks.

Also interesting that this is being shot in the US and not at Pinewood in the UK.

Wow this is exciting! Can't wait! What a great cast for it! And shot RED this is even better ;)

I'd kill to shoot stills on that gig. Saw some early prosthetic work and it looks amazingly impressive.

This is going to be hard for me to suspend disbelief. The image, the sound of his voice, the dry wit of the man... all burned into my memory.

I'm afraid this will be much like eating powdered eggs. The ingredients of the egg are there but you cannot keep from thinking about and tasting the difference. But for some who have never tasted real eggs, the powdered version will probably be just fine. Anyway, I'm happy to see that a movie maker has been deemed to have been so important in our culture that he is being honored in his own medium.

Hoping this stays true to life, with dramatic license of course. Always like to get some historical sense of a famous person's life from a biopic.

This news has completely won me over. I can't wait to watch this. Hickcock has been my biggest inspiration... a treat indeed :)

But for the time being I will be shooting drifting GP at Suzuka ... so pure cinema will have to wait... a little...

Would love to hang out on that set!
