  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hint...

I would just hold off on any TV, computer... anything with a display, purchases until after the 6th. You may not need those anymore. '-)

I'm just hoping he is aligned with the right group.

Well, I was talking to a group that does a 16k LCD chip to do a pocket laser projector years ago. Maybe they are upto 32k now?? So, why can't they do a laser projector? Pity people don't get in business with me, then we'll see things move around the tech sector, no more "yawn" advances out there (his is not talking about Red or cameras, hwy at advancing well).

This is one of the best guesses I've seen yet. If it's not a RED action camera, it'll be this.

At least the ios part.would work well and have the latest a processor. I wouldn't mind a customised android phone, but android... Compared to iOS, but at least you can save to microSD card. Actually, asbI have been saying, nvidua has anmexvelkent credit card sized platform for came a work (probably better than Apple) and t is just about time for them to announce things for release latter in he yes, as Red is doing.

Can we all agree that it's not a camera? I mean it's obviously not a camera right?

See the link to the new modular camera patents above. They are thinking about things, but we don't know if this is it.

A phone is likely to use high compression, so not competing with an scarlet, but good for low end TV etc.

Amazing.. "RED X APPLE" will be simply amazing! So invincible. It will rule the world!!
Steve Jobs can finally rest in proud.

God, I hope it has nothing to do with Apple... Their proprietary over-priced user-restricting strategy has proven to be critically flawed over and over and over. They failed to dominate the PC market, they lost their ownership of the smart phone market, and their commitment to professional users waxes and wanes like the phases of the moon.

Red is SO much better at providing an open eco-system focused on professional users that delivers innovation for less money than the competition. None of those things are true about Apple.

What would the tech world be without Wayne Morellini..

Haha - so much failure. I am sure they'll be out of business soon. LOL

Well said Tim. But how open sourced is Red, or cheap to everybody?

Less, you don't know the stuff I've done in the background over nearly 4 decades. And that is without the really valuable stuff.

I was looking at the above ideas, and I wish you guys could make self-cleaning glasses. I never even touch my glasses with my fingers but they somehow get fingerprints all over them. And yes, they are Oakleys and otherwise I absolutely love them.

Would that mean you and Oakley would get back together or are you scornful about your Luxottica overlords?

On the other hand, I think the laser AR idea is far better than glasses so perhaps I shall resign myself to a glasses-free future. Does Oakley do augmented LAXIK?

Don't hold your breath.

Well Terry, that makes little sense, I can hold my breath maybe a minute, it will take ten to twenty years for a company like Apple to wind down from market leadership in the last big thing (Steve Jobs). :)

I'm actually intetested in doing deals with the likes of IBM, to resurge. They have the clout to do a lot, and should welcome great things to do it.

Mike, that is something. The eccentric fringe in Australia were developing many such things in the 1990's. However, it has a lot of uses.

Then I got to stop myself, and realise that Hydrogen might be the next sensor technology after Helium. Core, could be there processing technology I suspect they bought out and have been using in Redrocket, abd likely cameras and/or redray (which I suggested to Jim many years ago).

The price will allow you to buy more than one...

And if you don't tell your friends they will be pissed that they missed out.

Jim
Interesting hint Jim, but mind you, it's totally subjective!
Since most of my friends have newborn babies I'm going to guess... diapers???
They'd be pissed at me if they missed out on a great deal to buy more than one!
Then again, good nannies are a high-value commodity, so are you making a robotic one?

I, on the other hand, think it will be something more about increasing productivity for creative minds (couldn't be more vague if I wanted to, but hey, so was your hint!) :001_cool:

I recall you said "I am at a stage in life where it needs to "be big or go home" so no matter what we are guessing, I'm confident you will top it!
Keep them hints coming!!!

You know what?
This reminds me of the days back in 2006 early 2007 when we were excitedly forgetting to sleep or eat hanging on your every word, constantly refreshing the forums for the next hint of information to drop...

Gotta thank you for those magical moments!
And for making it happen once again:cheers2:

Whatever it may be you are hinting at, I'll be here on the 6th, with bells on! :hurray:

Aaaanyways, Happy 4th! it's already here!!! :patriot:
