I did buy the software back in the days. I've been trying to install it on my newer Mac Pro, but cannot find the old registration mail in my mailbox.

Does anyone know, who the mail sender was or something, so that I can search for it in my big mailbox?

I´ve tried searching "r3d" "r3d data manager" "data manager" "Nightsky"... but I cannot seem to find it.

Does anyone maybe have that mail, and tell me some keywords to search for?

(I've tried contacting them, but they won't give out old registration keys due to some legal things)

mine (circa 2008) came from :
orders@r3ddata.com

It was EOL'd awhile ago and replaced by DoubleData (same developer). Are you even sure it will function reliably on latest OS?

Damn... can't seem to find it. Need to find a new solution then. I just liked the simplicity of it, and I didn't need any extra functions. It was reliable. Double Data recieved alot of flack (reading these forums) about it being unstable and such. Has this gotten better? Or any other simple similar programs?

I will release an app that does what R3D data manager did and a lot of other things within a month.
It will develop into a full workflow tool, but I imagine some users will only use the copy-side of things.
It will recognize different media and helps you structure (and synchronize if needed, let's say you have a 2nd unit team out shooting and comes back with two weeks of shooting) your project and set up a systematic pipeline.

It's scaled for large houses, but it works very well for single users.

You can copy to/from multiple destinations and do get receipts.
If something doesn't copy right for whatever reason, you get info about which specific file has issues.

I have been using it for that (amongst other things) since May, and it's stable. Goes into large scale productions next week.

If you use it to ingest, you can also do this:

And a few other nifty tricks.

Beta-program rolls out when we have the infrastructure for handling beta users ready and the necessary documentation for the first release.
